Federation of Irish Societies: www.irishinbritain.org
The Federation of Irish Societies (FIS) is the national representative body for the Irish in Britain. Our mission is to achieve a confident, healthy & empowered Irish community participating fully in a multi-cultural Britain.
Working together with our 150 Irish cultural and community members we endeavour to raise the profile & contribution of the Irish community in Britain. The diversity of our membership is essential to this – covering activity in arts and culture, sport, Irish centres and welfare agencies. Linking with partners such as IIBN also enables us to profile and celebrate the achievements of successful Irish entrepreneurs and business professionals throughout Britain.
If you are interested in finding out more about the Federation and how you or your organisation can get involved please contact Jennie McShannon, CEO: jenniemcshannon@irishinbritain.org or call on 0207 8331226.
The London Irish Graduate Network (LIGN) delivers a networking platform for young professionals and students by bringing together like minded people in a social setting. They provide discursive and interactive panel based events covering topical issues in the world of business.
Through their networking events, LIGN targets to help young professionals build contacts and establish a network that will span the length of their careers. LIGN ultimately aims to be a network which will nurture the vast amount of young Irish talent that has immigrated to this city, building a platform for which they can launch successful careers. IIBN and LIGN are delighted to be official partners with LIGN and held our second joint event at Cass Business School on May 1st 2012.
