IIBN at Lord’s
A huge thank you to the team at Lord’s Cricket Ground for hosting IIBN in February ahead of this year’s historic Test match between England and Ireland from Wednesday July 24 to Saturday July 27.
The event was undoubtedly one of our most successful to date, with over 200 guests attending on the evening. We were also pleased to welcome guests from some of the other Irish networks and societies - it goes to show that there is nothing that can bring Irish people together like an Ireland v England game.
During the event, Members had the opportunity to take a highly-entertaining tour of the Pavilion and hear the history of Lord’s from one of the guides. The feedback on the tours has been really exceptional and we’re delighted we were able to offer this unique opportunity to our Members.
Our thanks also to Jamie Clifford, Assistant Secretary at the MCC for the warm welcome; and to Alan Lewis, former Irish cricket player and retired Irish rugby union referee who represented Cricket Ireland on the evening.
Alan also encouraged guests to support Ireland in the One Day Test International at Malahide on May 3.
Following the event, we have had enquiries regarding hospitality at Lord’s this summer.
A small number of private boxes are still available, which can seat up to 18 guests, from £4,500+VAT for the box (with catering charged in addition).
For smaller groups, the Lord’s Tavern bar is turned into a premium hospitality lounge with private tables of 2, 4, 6 or 8. Prices start at £349+VAT per person for all day hospitality and match ticket.
For those with a passion for cricket, the longer term Debenture seats ensure you have access to every single game at Lord’s, including the long-sold-out Ashes series and all Cricket World Cup games, including The World Cup Final on the 14th July.
If you are considering organising hospitality, please do so directly through Matt Bennison at Lord’s on email@example.com or 020 7616 8785.
